On 9th June, 2023 the School of Nursing and Public Health through the Department of Public Health and Community Nursing Commemorated the Peak dieticians week which started on 5th to 9th June, 2023

The event aimed to showcase activities that are conducted by the students studying Bachelor of Science in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics

Among other activities, students showcased foods and other nutrition related products which aim to solve nutritional problems in the clinical settings and the general population. These products included products to stimulate milk production, thiamine fortified wine, apple cider vinegar, golden milk, nutrient dense supplements and a software for developing diet plans. An application for monitoring blood bank developed by a student from bachelor of science in health information science was also demonstrated

The Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic, Research and Consultancy Prof. Razack Lokina Congratulated the staffs, students, and all those who prepared the event. He assured support from the University management in ensuring students achieve their best in their Programmes. He also directed the Dean School of Nursing to ensure the event is carried every year.
